Arun Valley

Who are we?

u3a is an international organisation which was set up in the UK in 1982 as an informal learning and social co-operative for older people.  u3a enables members to share many educational, creative and leisure activities, organised mainly in small groups that meet regularly, sometimes in cafés and sometimes in each other’s homes.  Members, through sharing their knowledge, skills and experience, learn from each other.

Who are we for?

If you are retired or semi-retired and would like to keep your mind and your social life active we would be delighted to welcome you to the Arun Valley u3a. Our membership stands at just over 180 people who mostly live in and around Pulborough, Storrington, Sullington, West Chiltington, Fittleworth, Petworth and Billingshurst.

What’s on offer?

To see details of our current groups please click on "Groups" above, and clicking on an individual group will display further information on where and how often the group meets.

In addition to our interest groups we organise meetings and events for the whole membership, including our Christmas Lunch, our annual Strawberry Tea in the summer, and occasional General Meetings, including the Annual General Meeting, where we engage an interesting speaker.

Want to join us?

The annual membership fee is only £10 per person, reduced to £6 for those that are already members of another u3a.

We are always pleased to welcome new members. If you would like further information on any of the interest groups, please email the group’s co-ordinator by clicking on the link displayed as the co-ordinator's name.

Alternatively, you can send a message via the Contacts page, and if you would like to join our u3a, you can email the Membership Secretary.
