We meet on the second Friday of each month for coffee at The Old Forge café in Storrington.  Members of the group take it in turn to choose a book, and we generally, but not exclusively, read contemporary fiction.

The variety chosen has led each of us to read books that we wouldn’t otherwise have read, and sometimes this is successful, other times not so, but we always have an interesting and lively discussion as a result.  We also rate each book on a scale of 1 to 6.

These are some of the books that we've read in the last few years:

• Prodigal Summer by Barbara Kingsolver
• American Dirt by Jeanine Cummins
• The Thread by Victoria Hislop
• Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus
• A Terrible Kindness by Jo Browning Wroe
• The Names by Florence Knapp
