11-Feb-2026: This group is over-subscribed and we are actively looking for a volunteer to lead a second group. Please contact Jean (Vice-chair) via the Contacts page if you would like to co-ordinate a second group.
The group meets at various local sites and, whilst mainly focussing on birdwatching, we also cover butterflies, botany, and fungi. Members are encouraged to contribute and share their own knowledge during the course of the walks.
Meetings last up to two hours with varying terrain, sometimes at maintained nature reserves but also at wilder venues, so refreshments / facilities and easy mobility cannot be guaranteed. Please note that the Natural History Group is very popular and is unable to welcome new members - this is to ensure everyone's enjoyment and safety during each meeting.
Venues include RSPB Pulborough Brooks, Warnham Nature Reserve, Swanbourne Lake, Knepp Estate etc.
You can contact Ruth and Jamie by clicking on the Co-ordinator Link above.
